The Aboriginal Studies Electronic Data Archive (ASEDA) holds computer-based (digital) materials about Australian Indigenous studies collected from the late 1980s to early 2009 by the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS).

ASEDA has been integrated into the AIATSIS main collection. The materials in ASEDA are now catalogued in the AIATSIS collection catalogue, MURA , and ASEDA materials form a part of the Australian Indigenous Languages Electronic Collection (AILEC) maintained by the AIATSIS library.

During the migration process some materials have been returned to the depositors while some others were removed from the collection. The ASEDA catalogue on this site shows what happened to each ASEDA item. To look up the catalogue, go to the Search page. The Access page tells you how to access ASEDA materials.

AIATSIS welcomes new materials (both digital and non-digital) on Australian Indigenous languages. Please contact the library (for text materials), and the audio-visual archive (for audio-visual materials) if you would like to lodge materials with AIATSIS.
